If the earth never had human beings, the earth should be like this now

Humans have existed on the earth for millions of years. From the prehistoric settlements on the African continent to the seven continents today, human activities have profoundly changed the environment of the earth. If humans never existed, what would the Earth look like today, and how would it be different from the world we live in?

Back in time five million years ago, there was one less creature on the earth, and there was almost no difference. In fact, until the industrial revolution in the eighteenth century, human activities did not have a big impact on the earth. However, with the industrial revolution, human productivity has expanded unprecedentedly, and the transformation of the earth has begun. Today, 99% of the changes on the earth have occurred in these short three hundred years.

If humans did not appear, the time came to two hundred years ago, and the forests on the surface of the earth would not have declined sharply, and the surface plants would have remained diverse instead of the large-scale cultivated land today. A large number of natural animals still maintain a high number and diversity, and many animals will not be endangered or extinct.

What will be very different is the atmospheric environment. The large-scale use of fossil fuels by humans has increased the carbon content in the atmosphere by 10%. After the fuel is burned, the soot particles and natural vegetation are destroyed by humans and are blown up by strong winds. Dust, and other man-made causes, increase the amount of soot and particles in the atmosphere. With the intensification of the greenhouse effect, the global average temperature has risen by 2 °C.

If there were no humans on the earth, the earth might be full of vegetation and large animals, like a harmonious and beautiful natural garden. It sounds like the existence of human beings only makes the earth worse. However, without human beings, perhaps the earth is just the solar system. Even an unremarkable planet in the universe, it is the existence of human beings that makes the earth special and becomes the most special and great planet in the solar system.
