The Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shihuang are a kind of funerary objects in ancient Chinese tombs. Now they are also known as "the eighth wonder of the world" and one of the rare treasures of the eight ancient tombs in the world. At present, there are more than 5,000 terracotta warriors and horses that have been discovered, and its significance to China can be imagined. Today, people have found many strange sculptures in the deep mountains of Hunan. According to experts, the scale exceeds that of the Terracotta Warriors. How is this going?

There is a remote mountain town in Yongzhou, Hunan Province, called Daoxian. About 30 kilometers away from the county seat is the place where the strange sculpture was found, Tianguangdong Village. In the deep mountains near the village, lifelike stone figurines of various shapes and sizes have been found, and the number is estimated to be tens of thousands.

Some of these sculptures are sitting, some are standing, some are lying down, and some are showing their heads underground. They are all between 40 and 80 centimeters in length, and some have clearly visible faces, while others are very blurry. This place is called "Ghost Mountain". The name sounds scary, and the real scene is even more creepy. Such a large-scale sculpture group attracted the attention of the outside world as soon as it was discovered. The puzzles shrouded in this place are a headache for even experts.

Where did the stone figurines sculpture of Guizai Mountain come from? What was the purpose of building these statues? Experts from all over China have conducted in-depth research here. Overall, there are civil servants wearing crowns, military generals holding swords, children, pregnant women, and so on. Since the faces are clear and blurred, it can be concluded that they were not built at the same time.

Regarding their origins, local residents have a lot of guesses, and the research direction of experts mainly focuses on these two points.

The first speculation is that Guizailing is the tomb of Emperor Shun.

Stone figurines are his burial objects. It is said that in ancient times, Emperor Shun was buried in Jiuyi Mountain, only 10 kilometers away from Guizai Mountain. A mound to the east of Guizai Mountain is where Emperor Shun's tomb is located. However, there is no historical evidence to support this speculation.

The second guess is that Guizai Ridge is a place of worship for witch culture.

A few dozen meters to the left of the stone figurines are the ruins of the "King Yu Temple", and the right side is the ruins of the "White Elephant Temple", which form a triangular relationship. Therefore, people speculate that Guizai Mountain should be a large-scale sacrifice site. It is not unreasonable, considering that the local people like to visit shrines and pray for blessings.

However, for the number of Guizai Mountains in Hunan Province to exceed the Terracotta Warriors, in what era did they appear? What is the real use? So far there is no conclusion, even experts feel a headache. It is unknown whether the cultural value of the tens of thousands of stone figurines will surpass that of Qin Shihuang's terracotta warriors.

Today, Guizai Mountain, which is full of weird colors, has become a tourist attraction. Tourists from all over the country come here to see what it is. What do you think about this mysterious place?
