The three most beautiful ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River in China, each has its own charm, have you been there?
The six famous ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River include three in Jiangsu: Zhouzhuang, Luzhi and Tongli, and three in Zhejiang: Wuzhen, Xitang and Nanxun. This trip visited three of them: Wuzhen, Xitang, and Zhouzhuang (the distance between Wuzhen and Xitang is more than 60 kilometers; the distance between Xitang and Zhouzhuang is about 40 kilometers).
Wuzhen is located at the junction of Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal passes through the town. It has a history of more than 2,000 years, and relatively completely preserves the style of the ancient water town in the late Qing Dynasty. After arriving at the scenic spot in Wuzhen in the rain, I took a few pictures around the B&B in the rain.
It was day and night that the rain was a little less, so I hurriedly took a few night scenes with an umbrella:
Like many ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River, people in Wuzhen live in front of the water. The old wooden houses standing by the water tell the precipitation of history...
Tranquil and profound, there is no lack of leisure in the tranquility, and the hazy ancient town is full of autumn.
Walking into Wuzhen is like traveling through time and space for hundreds of thousands of years, returning to the ancient town with history... Since ancient times, hundreds of talents, talents and scholars have come out of Wuzhen. The old Chinese brand Xuchang Sauce Garden is actually here (Xuchang Sauce Garden, founded in the ninth year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty).
Xitang, a water town, is similar to Wuzhen. It is a small town built on water. The water is integrated with streets, alleys, houses and bridges.
Xitang is famous for its many bridges, lanes, corridors and boats.
Xitang, with many other ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River, has its own characteristics (small bridges, flowing water, people), and also has its own personality.
