The most important communication between us is voice. If our voice changes, we can detect it at the first time, but did you know that sometimes the change of voice can also be some manifestation of cancer?

Many times, when we talk for a long time, or our throat is dry, our voice will be hoarse, or when we have a cold, our throat will be uncomfortable, our voice will be hoarse, or we will not be able to speak. It is often said that there is cancer in the body, prophet of the throat. If you have chronic throat discomfort and hoarseness, you must pay attention. Doctors say hoarseness occurs with four types of cancer.

First, esophageal cancer: The early symptoms of esophageal cancer are not obvious, and the patient's voice changes little. However, with the aggravation of cancer and the deterioration of cancer cells, the tumor invades the recurrent laryngeal nerve, causing damage to the recurrent laryngeal nerve, resulting in paralysis of the vocal cords. People with esophageal cancer experience hoarseness, sore throat, and difficulty swallowing.

Second, thyroid cancer: If the throat is hoarse and uncomfortable, it may be a symptom of thyroid cancer. Because the thyroid is close to the recurrent laryngeal nerve, once thyroid cancer occurs, the tumor can easily compress the recurrent laryngeal nerve, resulting in hoarseness. The most prominent manifestation of thyroid cancer is the appearance of a mass inside the thyroid gland, early movement, smooth surface and hard texture.

Third, laryngeal cancer: If the tumor occurs on the vocal cords, it is easy to cause hoarseness. If it does not occur on the vocal cords, when the disease aggravates, the tumor becomes larger and invades the vocal cords, and hoarseness will occur. If the tumor occurs on the glottis, there will be a foreign body sensation in the throat in the early stage of cancer, accompanied by a sore throat, which will not disappear for a long time, and will also manifest as dysphagia and persistent cough. Symptoms such as pain behind the ear and difficulty breathing.

Fourth, lung cancer: According to relevant research, a small number of lung cancer patients have hoarseness after illness. Due to the compression of gravity, the recurrent laryngeal nerve is affected, resulting in paralysis of the vocal cords and hoarseness.

Hoarseness may indicate the occurrence of the above four types of cancer, the health of the throat has a lot to do with our health, so we must pay attention to protect our throat. Under normal circumstances, try not to speak too loudly, keep your voice as gentle as possible, be a tour guide, teacher, or lecturer, because you need to speak loudly for a long time, usually pay more attention to protecting your throat, speak as little as possible during breaks, reduce the frequency and time of speaking, and drink more water , keep the throat moist.

Frequent throat clearing should be avoided. If the throat is uncomfortable, many people cough vigorously to clear the throat and make it comfortable. In fact, this will cause damage to our vocal cords, and we must not insist. If your throat is sore, you can drink more warm water. If it still can't be relieved, you can take some drugs to relieve throat according to your doctor's knowledge and your own condition.

In daily life, we must pay more attention to prevent some throat diseases. Once the voice is hoarse for a long time, it may be a warning of cancer. Be vigilant and go to the hospital for relevant examinations in time.
