No pain or itching, a check is the 'cancer king'? An early reminder of the performance on the back, but you didn't pay attention

In recent years, the overall incidence of cancer has shown an increasing and younger trend. On average, there are nearly 3 million new cancer patients in China every year! Cancer itself is a chronic wasting disease with long treatment time, easy recurrence and incurable. In advanced stage cancer, severe pain, double loss of immunity and weight, organ failure and other problems will also occur!

Moreover, cancer will cause a huge financial burden to a family. For ordinary families, the appearance of a cancer patient often means bankruptcy or even debt treatment! So when the word cancer is mentioned, everyone talks about it.

With the development of medical technology, more and more early-stage cancers are discovered, and the prognosis is good, and the overall survival rate of patients has increased significantly within 5 years. But there is an exception in cancer, it is "pancreatic cancer"!

Pancreatic cancer is known as the "king of cancer", and it is the only type of cancer with a mortality rate close to 1:1. The overall survival rate of patients within five years is even less than 5%. In advanced pancreatic cancer, patients can die within a few months.

The reason for this is not only that pancreatic cancer is difficult to detect at an early stage and is diagnosed at an advanced stage, but also that pancreatic cancer has many characteristics such as difficult surgery, high degree of malignancy, and insensitivity to radiotherapy and chemotherapy, so the mortality rate of pancreatic cancer has always been high. No less.

Among the many symptoms of pancreatic cancer, there is one symptom that is most easily overlooked by patients: low back pain!

Under normal circumstances, pancreatic cancer causes low back pain, mostly because the cancer cells metastasize to the abdominal cavity, and the cancer compresses the celiac plexus, causing the pain to radiate to the low back. However, when symptoms occur, many patients often think that they are suffering from lumbar muscle strain, lumbar disc herniation and other problems, thus ignoring the examination!

But in fact, pancreatic cancer causes low back pain with more typical and easily distinguishable manifestations. In the early stages, the pain is mostly at night, especially when the patient is lying down or supine, and the pain is relieved after changing the position. But as the disease progresses, the pain will continue to exist, and it will become more and more painful!

In addition to this symptom, pancreatic cancer is often accompanied by the following symptoms:

  1. Weight loss: Pancreatic cancer is different from other types of cancer. Patients can experience weight loss in the early stage, and in just a few months, they can even lose more than ten kilograms. Because cancer will destroy the normal secretory function of the pancreas, resulting in a rapid decrease in the secretion of digestive enzymes and insulin, the patient will have multiple manifestations such as nausea, vomiting, etc., resulting in progressive weight loss;

  2. Jaundice: Jaundice is not a typical symptom of pancreatic cancer. It usually occurs in tumors of the tail and body of the pancreas, and most of them will not have jaundice symptoms. However, if the cancerous site is in the head of the pancreas, when the early cancer is formed, it will cause compression on the bile duct, resulting in abnormal bile excretion and obstructive jaundice;

  3. Elevated blood sugar: The reason why the human body can balance blood sugar is because the pancreas can secrete important insulin. When the pancreas becomes cancerous and damages the islet function, insulin secretion will decrease rapidly, resulting in a decline in blood sugar regulation, so patients may develop sudden diabetes.

If you have the above symptoms suddenly, you should seek medical attention actively. Even if the low back pain is not related to the pancreas, it may be caused by other types of diseases, such as visceral cancer bone metastasis, lumbar disc herniation, etc. To know exactly what is wrong with the body, only a precise examination can make a diagnosis.
