Why does a pipeline keep spewing fire when oil is being mined? Aren't you afraid of causing danger?

Oil is generally buried under the stratum. To find oil, three-dimensional seismic detection technology must be used, that is, the use of seismic waves to distinguish the underground situation, which can very clearly determine whether there are resources such as oil and natural gas underground. . When it is confirmed that there is oil, professional geological survey personnel and mining personnel need to inspect and evaluate the oil field to determine whether it has the value of industrial exploitation, and only after a definite answer will the oil extraction work begin. The first is to determine the location of a drill hole, the required depth and size, etc. After the data is determined, the drilling rig will debut. As the drilling rig deepens, it is necessary to put pipes down the hole to ensure that the rock wall at the hole will not collapse. After waiting for the problem, the drilling rig will move along the established track, and after breaking through the heavy rocks, it will be able to reach the oil layer.

The problem that needs to be solved at this time is how to make the oil reach the ground from the bottom up. There are two methods at present. One is to use the pressure of the oil layer, because the oil layer is generally located in a deeper position of the formation and has a large pressure, and when the drilling does not reach this position, all the pressures tend to be in a balanced and stable state. When the balance is broken instantly after drilling, the oil will find another channel due to the pressure, that is, the wellbore, and spew out in large quantities.

The second method is water injection pressurization, which is based on the first method. Because the amount of oil will be less and less, the pressure will also be affected, so the driller will start to drill another pipe from the vicinity of the wellbore, and then inject water into this pipe to fill the oil that has been sprayed with water Space, the pressure will slowly return to its original strength, and then the remaining oil will be erupted again by breaking the balance. The process of extracting oil is very difficult. In addition, there will be a pipeline on site that has been spewing fire, which is also one of the mysteries of oil extraction.

What's the use of burning pipelines in oil extraction? Aren't there any dangers in the presence of an open flame?

In fact, it is not oil that keeps this pipeline on fire, but natural gas, which is also a rare resource. Many friends may have begun to wonder, why is there still natural gas on the scene when it is obviously the oil being mined? This has something to do with the formation of oil fields. Although we refer to the places where oil is exploited as oil fields, it does not mean that there is only oil in oil fields. Often, there are some natural gas in these oil fields. Oil and natural gas often coexist in the same area. If the oil content is more, the area will be called an oil field, otherwise it will be called a gas field, and if the oil and natural gas content is similar, the area will be called an oil field. called oil and gas fields.

So this is a good explanation, the oil field will be accompanied by some natural gas, and the burning pipeline is always burning natural gas. But natural gas is also a precious and rare resource. Why not use it, but burn it directly? This is because the main purpose of exploiting the oil field is to obtain oil, and the natural gas in the oil field is only a small part, and if you want to collect this part of the natural gas, you need to be equipped with a complete set of oil extraction equipment in the oil field. The equipment for extracting natural gas also requires additional relevant technical personnel. The cost of this consumption is very staggering, and it is indeed worth the loss just for these small amounts of natural gas.

In the same way, if it is a special gas field, the relevant departments will also focus on the exploitation of natural gas, and those small amounts of oil will not spend huge amounts of money on it, because it has no industrial exploitation value. Therefore, the purpose and main tasks of the mining work will be adjusted in time with the oil and gas content.

Although the natural gas in the oil field has no value for exploitation, why should it be "killed"? Why use a pipeline to burn natural gas in an oil field?

Natural gas is also a relatively dangerous substance. When the natural gas and air are mixed to a certain ratio, they will explode directly when encountering an open flame. In this case, wouldn't it be very dangerous if there was a burning pipeline on site. In fact, this is not dangerous, but can better ensure the safety of the scene. Because if the natural gas is mixed into the air, there will be many unstable dangerous factors, and there will inevitably be open flames such as sparks from friction of the drill bit during the field operation. If the natural gas is not treated in advance, there is a real risk of explosion at any time. . Therefore, in order to prevent problems before they happen, we chose to manually let the natural gas burn out first, so that there is no chance for the natural gas to be mixed into the air.

Moreover, natural gas is sometimes accompanied by a gas of hydrogen sulfide, which will stimulate the human respiratory system and eyes at low concentrations. Severely affected, and even suffocation and other symptoms, there are not a few cases of poisoning due to inhalation of hydrogen sulfide gas in China.

Therefore, it is the most sensible way to consume the small amount of natural gas in the oil field by burning it. With the continuous development of science and technology, the processing methods of natural gas in oil fields are also being upgraded and improved. At present, China has established a set of equipment for natural gas recovery. A part of natural gas is collected and recycled to meet the power generation needs of nearby areas, and the device can also increase the collection and reserve of natural gas, so the benefits of setting up such a natural gas recovery device in the oil field are greatly improved. Perhaps in the future, the burning pipeline will gradually disappear at the oil extraction site. Instead, it will be replaced by the full recycling of resources, so that all energy can not be wasted, and the earth can be better protected.
