Have you ever seen the "Nail Households" standing on the solitary peak and designated as a national key cultural relic protection unit? It sounds strange, since it is a "nail household", why can it be listed as an AAAA-level scenic spot? In fact, these several attributes can perfectly coexist on it. It is Shibaozhai, which has been selected as one of the "Eight Bizarre Buildings in the World" and "Seven Architectural Wonders in China".

Shibaozhai is located on the north bank of the Yangtze River, 45 kilometers east of Zhongxian County, Chongqing City, China, and is only connected to the outside world by a rope bridge. Overlooking Shibaozhai from a height, it is like a huge bonsai placed in the water of the Yangtze River, which is spectacular!

Shibaozhai is built on the boulders of the steep and lonely peak. The origin of its name is derived from the ancient Chinese mythology "Nuwa Patching the Sky". It is said that when Nvwa patched up the sky, she searched for stones everywhere to refine and repair the sky. , One of the multicolored stones was accidentally omitted by Nuwa. Later, this multicolored stone took root here, and because of this, the multicolored stone was shaped like a jade seal, so it was also called "Yuyin Mountain". In the late Ming Dynasty, Tan Hong revolted and called himself the "King of Wuling". He occupied Shibaozhai as a camp for more than ten years.

Shibaozhai was built in the middle and late Ming Dynasty and was completed during the Kangxi and Qianlong years. Shibaozhai is mainly composed of two parts, which are the Tianzi Hall on the top of Yuyin Mountain and the tower built on Yuyin Mountain. Among them, the Tianzi Hall covers an area of about 1,200 square meters. It was built in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. It is divided into three halls: front, main and rear. Tianzi Temple is the highest point of Shibaozhai, and it is also the best viewing point. When you climb up to Tianzi Temple, you can see the Yangtze River rushing under your feet.

The other part is the Shibaozhai Tower. The tower has 12 floors and a height of 56 meters. Nine floors were built in the middle of the Ming Dynasty and were built by skilled craftsmen specially hired by the local squires. In 1956, three floors were added, and it became the "Pearl on the River" that people admire today. Tourists who come to Shibaozhai for sightseeing are all amazed by the wisdom of the ancients.

After entering the fortress, tourists climb layer by layer, just like climbing the stairs of history and myth. Walking up to the third floor, when you see the story of the Bashu hero Ba Manzi cutting his head to protect the city, you can realize the hard-won life of today's beautiful life; when you see Zhang Feiyi's sculpture of Yan Yan, he immediately admires the loyalty of the two; The heroine Qin Liangyu inspires everyone. Going up the stairs, there is an ancient temple as far as the eyes can see, which enshrines the second master of Yi Bo Yuntian. Then go to the Temple of Heavenly Son on the ninth floor overlooking the Yangtze River, and finally reach the top of the twelfth floor...
