The number of people suffering from pneumonia in China exceeds one million every year, and more than 100,000 people die from pneumonia every year. Worldwide, at least 1 million people die each year from pneumococcal pneumonia.

Inflammation in the lungs, like cancer, can sound chilling. Especially for a new-born baby, if unfortunately suffering from pneumonia, it will not only bring great pain to the baby, but also affect the parents' hearts, and may also be complicated by cardiac insufficiency or secondary infection.

In fact, people with poor lungs usually have 3 abnormalities on their fingers

  1. Dry fingers

A healthy finger belly should be full, round and pink. If your finger belly is not full to the touch, and the elasticity is poor, it looks wrinkled, even if it has been in the water for a long time. Then, you need to be careful that the performance of lung function may not be very good.

We have the reflex areas of the lungs on our thumbs. So to see if the lungs are good, you can actually look at the thumb. If the lungs are healthy, the thumb will be full, elastic and rounded.

2, the fingers become thicker

If a person's fingers are thicker than before, and the end joints become thicker and the thumb is deformed, it is called "clubbing" in medicine.

It is usually seen in lung tumors or some chronic pulmonary septic diseases. Of course, such as bronchiectasis, chronic lung abscess, tuberculosis, pulmonary fibrosis, etc., "clubbing" can appear. However, if only one finger becomes thick, it may be caused by poor blood circulation, but this is the case with ten fingers, so you should pay attention.

  1. Thickened palm skin

If the skin on your palms thickens and you can see white or wrinkled streaks, it could be a sign of lung cancer. But it is not necessarily just lung cancer, there may be other chronic lung diseases.

Of course, due to the deterioration of lung function, the respiratory and circulatory systems of the whole body will be affected, and some swelling will occur in the hands, resulting in poor resilience of the palms. When the palm of one hand is gently pressed down for a few seconds and then released, you will find that the rebound is very slow. This may be a manifestation of advanced lung cancer.

  1. Hands are cold and purple

It is a condition in which the hands are cold or frostbitten due to insufficient blood or cold. Our lungs are very important and undertake the important task of converting venous blood filled with waste substances such as carbon dioxide into fresh blood rich in oxygen.

Once there is a problem with the lungs, the blood circulation of the whole body is not smooth, or the blood oxygen saturation is low, and the hands may become numb, sore or purple.

If the lungs are not good, it will also manifest on our lips. The lips of a normal healthy person should be pink or translucent, but if it is often purple like cyanosis, it means that the blood circulation is not very good, it may be blood stasis and qi stagnation, or it may indicate a lung or heart problem.

In addition, if you find that you will cough frequently, and you can see faint blood on the handkerchief, which is often referred to as phlegm and blood, you should go to the hospital for a lung X-ray examination as soon as possible to rule out the possibility of lung cancer.
