Small islands are usually accompanied by the ocean in people's impressions, and are excellent places for tourists to relax and vacation. China has a vast sea area, in which there are countless small islands, many of which have been developed as tourist attractions. However, in the coastal waters of China, there is such a small island that has not yet been developed. In order to protect this island, troops have been dispatched to station there, but it still cannot stop this small island from shrinking year by year.

This island, the Dajinshan Island in Shanghai, is one of the three islands of Jinshan. It belongs to the management of Jinshan District, Shanghai. It is located in the north of Hangzhou Baykou, 6.2 kilometers away from Jinshanzui of the mainland. The island covers an area of 0.229 square kilometers, and the main peak is 103.70 meters high. It is the highest and largest bedrock island in Shanghai. The island, together with Xiaojinshan Island and Fushan Island, were once onshore arc hills, but were isolated in the sea due to rising sea level and coastal erosion and retreat. It was called "Zhaoshan" before the Five Dynasties, and "Jinshan" after the Jin Dynasty.

This island is a scarce marine resource in Shanghai. It has not been opened to the outside world for a long time. In the early days, troops were stationed there. At present, the protection of Dajinshan Island is managed by the Marine and Seawall Management Office of the Jinshan Oceanographic Bureau. Visitors are strictly prohibited from entering without approval. island. Dajinshan Island is stationed by the relevant departments of Shanyang Town.

Due to the long-term inaccessibility, Dajinshan Island has retained a fairly primitive ecological environment. However, the island faces a considerable danger - soil erosion. According to the "Jinshan County Chronicle" in 1989, the island area of Dajinshan Island is 0.3 square kilometers. In the 2012 national island census, the measured area of Dajinshan Island was only 0.23 square kilometers, and the island area was reduced by 23.3%.

It is understood that at present, there is only one wharf on Dajinshan Island that communicates with the outside world. The only road up and down the mountain was built in 1995. It has been a long time and the protective facilities are missing, leaving certain safety hazards. Because it is not open to the outside world and is relatively mysterious, it has attracted many social personnel to land on the island without authorization, so it is very urgent to strengthen management and protection.

At present, the development of Dajinshan Island is gradually put on the agenda. The Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Oceanography requires that the Jinshan Three Islands are not only Jinshan, but also the scarce marine resources in Shanghai. The development and utilization must be cautious. The project should be made into a high-quality marine demonstration project, and the development should be systematically considered in the long-term, so as to reserve space for future development. room.
