When it comes to deserts, the first thing that comes to mind is a vast expanse of land with no grass. The air in the desert is particularly dry, there is not enough water, the land lacks nutrients, and human beings cannot survive here. However, the unique scenery of the desert also attracts many tourists to visit and play. You can enjoy the view and take beautiful photos. The scenery of the desert is infinitely good, and if it is developed, the desert can also become a tourism resource.

However, the Chinese desert brings more harm. First, the waste of land resources. Although our country has a large land area and a vast territory, there are very few land resources that can be used, and the per capita arable land area lags behind the world. Secondly, there is no fixed sand, which runs away as soon as the wind blows, which is the source of sand that forms sandstorms. Sandstorms blow into big cities, causing adverse effects on the environment and the economy. Eventually, a lot of sand can flow into the river, causing blockages, flooding, and so on.

However, recently, there has been exciting good news. China has a sandy land larger than Hainan Island. It will soon disappear under effective governance. Now 80% of it has become an oasis, and it is about to change its face! The former desolate scene of "flying birds without trees, yellow sand covering the sky" no longer exists. This sandy land is China's Mu Us Desert. Although it is not larger than the Taklimakan Desert, it is also one of the four major deserts. Now the desert has been planted with trees and has become an oasis. And they can also grow potatoes, which can yield tons of yield each time they are harvested.

The Mu Us Desert was not a desert before. Ten thousand years ago, it was still a fertile prairie, home to many creatures, full of vitality. During the Qin and Han Dynasties, a city was also established here, but with the outbreak of the war, the city was devastated, people left, and the influence of the natural environment here, gradually, the land became deserted and desertified.

Together, the desert becomes an oasis. Behind the success of sand control is the hard work of countless people. The leadership and planning of relevant departments and the active participation of civil forces have invested a lot of manpower and material resources. Sand control is not something that can be accomplished in one day, but is the work of several generations. The hard work of one generation after another, scientific and effective methods, and the trees planted by one's own hands converge into today's green ocean.

The former Mu Us Desert is now cultivated land. A beautiful oasis is a more valuable tourist resource. If you have time, you must go to see such a miracle that the desert has turned into an oasis.

It is our responsibility to protect the environment. In order that such a tragedy will not happen again, we must actively participate in China's greening cause. What do you think of the desert that is about to disappear in China?
