During the 25 years of follow-up, a total of 3973 men had cancer, including 964 lung cancers, 624 colorectal cancers, 560 gastric cancers, 353 liver cancers, and 172 bladder cancers.

People with the highest risk of liver cancer are blood type AB.

Compared with non-AB blood type, AB blood type has a 42% increased risk of liver cancer, and even 45% higher than that of A blood type; compared with A blood type, AB blood type and O blood type have a lower risk of pancreatic cancer, respectively 17% and 15%.

Higher risk of gastrointestinal cancer.

Compared with patients with non-A blood type, the risk of digestive tract tumors increased by 20%, including gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, etc. Among them, the risk of gastric cancer in patients with blood type B was reduced by 25% and 22%, respectively; the risk of gastric cancer in patients with blood type AB was reduced by 24% and 32%, respectively; compared with blood type A, the incidence of colorectal cancer was in gastric cancer and colorectal cancer There were no significant differences in cancer.

The researchers found that blood type B was the healthiest and had a relatively low incidence of cancer.
