"Cancer" has always been a feared type among many diseases. When it comes to cancer, everyone will think: death!

Even though there have been several ways to treat cancer in recent years, the mortality rate of cancer is still high, mainly because of one problem: it is difficult to detect early!

There are many cancers that can be controlled in a stable range if they can be detected at an early stage and treated with surgery in a timely manner.

The so-called colorectal cancer includes cancer of the colon and rectum. Most colorectal cancers develop from intestinal polyps.

The symptoms of early colorectal cancer are not typical, and some patients do not even have any abnormality. Therefore, when severe symptoms appear, they often have reached the middle and late stage, and the prognosis is extremely poor. The five-year survival rate is even less than 10%!

However, this does not mean that bowel cancer cannot be found. If the stool has the following three abnormalities, beware of the signal reported by bowel cancer:

  1. Changes in stool shape

The intestines go back and forth in the abdominal cavity, and their main functions are absorption and excretion. Food residues will continue to accumulate in the intestines. When a certain amount is formed, the meaning of feces will be transmitted to the brain. Under normal circumstances, the shape of the stool should be cylindrical or snake-shaped, in short, it is in a formed state, but it is different when bowel cancer occurs;

Especially in the canceration that occurs in the rectum, not only will the space of the intestinal cavity be reduced, but the cancer will also squeeze the stool, resulting in a change in the shape of the stool. For example, flat and thin stools are common.

Moreover, if the stool is too dry, when it passes through the cancerous site, it may rub against the surface of the cancer and bleed, resulting in obvious blood marks on the side of the stool.

  1. Changes in bowel habits

Healthy adults tend to develop special bowel habits, which can even be accurate to a certain period of time.

When bowel cancer appears, bowel habits will be disrupted, such as a significant increase in the number of bowel movements, tenesmus, alternating diarrhea and constipation, etc.

The so-called tenesmus means that the patient has obvious constipation and a sense of anus falling, but there is not much stool discharge, or even no stool, especially the cancer that appears in the rectum close to the anus, the symptoms are particularly obvious;

In addition, cancer will continue to stimulate the intestinal wall, resulting in decreased intestinal function, resulting in symptoms of intestinal dysfunction, leading to disordered bowel habits, which is also one of the typical early manifestations of intestinal cancer.

  1. Blood in the stool

Blood in the stool caused by colon cancer can be divided into two situations, the first is: black stool!

That is to say, the stool is abnormally black, and the surface is shiny and shiny, which looks like tar, and is accompanied by a strong fishy smell, which is also one of the typical manifestations of gastrointestinal bleeding.

Especially for cancers that are far away from the anus, after bleeding occurs, the blood will not be directly excreted with the stool, but will accumulate in the intestine and undergo oxidation, thus changing the color of the stool;

The second situation is: bloody stool! This is different from the blood in the stool caused by diseases such as hemorrhoids and anal fissures. Patients often have no severe pain when they have blood in the stool, and the blood appears bright red or dark red, mixed with the stool.

With the continuous development of colorectal cancer, abnormalities such as purulent blood stool and direct blood in the stool may also appear in the later stage.

The appearance of the above three symptoms may be a warning of the development of bowel cancer! For friends with a family history of bowel cancer, middle-aged and elderly people, and friends with intestinal polyps, once such symptoms appear, it is necessary to seek medical attention in time for examination! At present, the clinical diagnosis of colon cancer is mainly based on colonoscopy, digital anus examination, etc., especially the diagnosis rate of colonoscopy can reach more than 90%!
