Patient sharing (40 years old, middle-aged male): The patient is a white-collar worker in the workplace. He sits in front of a computer desk for a long time and rarely exercises. Over the years, I have always felt that I am prone to getting angry, and eating a little fried food will cause mouth ulcers, tongue sores, and even tonsil inflammation.

I usually have a poor appetite, poor gastrointestinal function, diarrhea when drinking cold drinks and eating raw and cold food, easy to fatigue, dizziness, tinnitus, and easy to catch a cold. In the past six months, I found that my sexual function has also declined, and it seems that there is a phenomenon of premature ejaculation.

I have also prescribed some traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions in the local hospital, but I am not able to tolerate warming and cold, and the prescriptions have not produced obvious effects.

Friends often ask Sister Miao that she often suffers from oral ulcers, sores on her tongue, pimples on her face, and even gets angry until she can't sleep. But at the same time, I was very afraid of the cold, the ice below the waist was cold, and I felt that my stomach couldn't stand it after eating some cold drinks, and the stool was loose.

Some women may also be accompanied by uterine cold and dysmenorrhea. I want to recuperate my body, but I didn't expect that eating hot food would get angry, and eating cold food would hurt yang.

In fact, this is a typical "upper heat lowers cold" constitution, which cannot be tolerated by warming and nourishing, and cannot be tolerated by cold and cold, so it is difficult to regulate. Today, let's take a look at how traditional Chinese medicine regulates this "upper heat lowers cold" constitution!

"Lingshu·Zhijiezhenxie" has said: "The upper heat is in the cold, and it is taken from the meridians when it is deficient and trapped in the meridian.

In the concept of traditional Chinese medicine, our body's qi and blood run like the circulation in nature. The heart dominates fire and resides in the upper part of the human body, like the sun in the sky; the kidney dominates water, and resides in the lower part of the human body, like a river on earth.

Under normal circumstances, the Heart Fire uses the Stomach Qi to sink downward to warm the Kidney-Yang, so that symptoms such as fear of cold, diarrhea, and cold limbs will not occur due to the deficiency of Kidney-Yang.

And the kidney water rises and rises with the help of the temper, to relieve the heart fire. In this way, our body will not have problems such as irritability, mouth ulcers, etc. due to excessive heart fire.

The state of normal operation mentioned above is called "water and fire cooperating". Simply put, it is to keep the circulation of qi, blood, yin and yang in the body in a normal state, so that the place that needs to be warm is kept warm, and the place that needs to be cooled is appropriate. cool down. And the "upper heat lowers cold" constitution is the result of "water and fire not working together".

"The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine" said: "Today's people with fever are all typhoid fever... If people are injured by cold, they are sick and fever." This sentence points out: "Cold is the cause of heat disease." If the pathogenic cold in the human body is excessive, it will exclude the yang qi, and the yang qi will float and disperse, which will manifest as a heat phenomenon in the upper part, and the human body will appear in the upper part of the body. Fire symptoms. In other words, many people's body cold is actually the root cause of getting angry.

For the constitution of "upper heat and lower cold", in the same period, the upper part shows hot symptoms, and the lower part shows cold symptoms. Generally, one or more of the symptoms described below occur at the same time.

Symptoms of fever: easy to get angry, mouth ulcers, sore throat, toothache, nosebleeds; chronic otitis media; red and swollen eyes, dry eyes and astringent eyes; acne; thyroid problems; headache, dizziness, and even increased blood pressure.

Symptoms of lower cold: cold below the navel, frequent diarrhea; cold waist and knees; dysmenorrhea in women, cold and wet scrotum in men; cold hands and feet, especially cold; Edema; constipation or diarrhea.

Soak feet to reduce fire: Use an appropriate amount of mugwort leaves and cinnamon sticks to make Evodia, add water and boil for 20 minutes, then let cool to a comfortable temperature. Generally speaking, the most suitable temperature for foot soaking water is about 40 degrees, the water surface is about 2-3 cm above the ankle, and the time is controlled at about 20 minutes, and it is advisable to sweat slightly.

Sunbathing: Sunbathing on the back every morning is a good way to prevent disease and maintain health. Chinese medicine believes that the back is yang, and the chest and abdomen are yin. The Governor Vessel and the Foot-Taiyang Bladder Meridian of our body mainly pass through our back. Moderately dry the back, let the yang energy of the sun connect with the Du meridian on the back, and the warm air can disperse the cold air on the bladder meridian.

Massage the abdomen, dredging the blood: the palm starts to push down from the heart to the lower abdomen, repeat for 3-5 minutes every day. Both hands or one hand can be used. If you find any blockages (such as lumps, pain points, etc.) during the massage process, you must push and knead repeatedly until it is pushed and kneaded.

In this place, the Ren meridian, kidney meridian, stomach meridian, spleen meridian, liver meridian, gallbladder meridian, and the meridians of the five internal organs all converge here. In this way, abdominal massage can dredge the middle burner in place, and the upper and lower burners will also be unblocked, so as to achieve the purpose of relaxing the liver and regulating qi, appetizing and strengthening the spleen, and nourishing the kidney and nourishing the heart.

Moxibustion: Proper moxibustion on Yongquan and other acupoints can not only replenish yang, nourish yin, but also remove cold and damp stasis, eliminate stagnation of middle burnt stasis, replenish middle qi, and help the spleen to rise and the stomach to descend. It promotes the intersection of heart and kidney and improves the constitution of "upper heat and lower cold". The acupoints and time of moxibustion are recommended to be carried out under the guidance of professional physicians.

Daily life and diet: Avoid eating spicy and cold food, go to bed early and get up early, and exercise properly, which will help to raise the body's yang energy and enhance immunity.

Now I understand why some people have pimples on their faces and seem to be "inflamed", but their limbs are icy cold. However, some people often get oral ulcers, thinking that it is a fire, and often drink some herbal tea to clear the heat, but the oral ulcers often recur. This is the reason for the constitution of "upper heat and lower cold". Do it, keep at it, and it will definitely improve.
