As we all know, the name of a region is not static in history. Due to the difference in historical environment, era background, and regional characteristics and functions, the name of a region will be different in each dynasty. For example, the city of Beijing was called "Beiping" in the past, and earlier names were Jingshi, Dadu and so on. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, many local names across the country have been redesigned, and there have been no major adjustments in recent decades.

With the development of national tourism, more and more tourist attractions have been established one after another, including historical sites. Most of them contain the unique history and culture of an era, or they have been shining in history and are widely known. Tourists from all over the world are very interested in these historical sites, and often visit "check-in" in person, which also promotes the prosperity of local tourism...

Among the many historical and cultural sites, there are two "strange" towns in China. They have the same name but belong to different provinces and regions, and their relationship is not as simple as "colliding names".

In recent years, these two towns have also become "active" due to the growth of foreign tourists, and tourists who come here will be surprised - it turns out that these two towns with the same name are only separated by a street! This town is Menglou Town.

The historical origin of the name "Menglou Town" can be traced back to 320 AD according to the records in "Historical Records". At that time, King Hui attached great importance to Mencius' learning and built a loft for Mencius to teach and teach. Mencius also stayed here for a long time, "preaching and accepting karma and dispelling doubts" for the disciples here.

In order to commemorate Mencius giving lectures in the attic, later generations set up a town in the north of Chu and the south of Wei. According to records in ancient books, the people of that time also set up two arches in the middle of the two towns, with the words "Zhongzhou Xianlin" and "Only Chu has talents" written on them. But unfortunately, these arches were destroyed in the fire of war...

Today, the two "Menglou Towns" are located in Henan and Hubei respectively. As the dividing line between the two provinces, the distance between the two towns is only one street apart. In all parts of the country, this is a very rare phenomenon.

There is such a folk story about Menglou Town in Henan, which is also the beginning of Menglou Town's fame. In the town of Menglou in Henan, there is a blacksmith surnamed Meng. The house where Master Meng lived was different from other bungalows, but a small building, which was a spectacle at that time. Therefore, the local people always like to call themselves "Menglou people". Over time, Menglou became a household name, and even the town name was changed to Menglou Town.

Even if it is named after a folk tale, Menglou Town in Henan still has a certain reputation, and its tourism industry has been developed first. At the same time, Menglou Town in Henan is also the original Menglou Town. As for Menglou Town in Hubei, it is actually a part of the original main body of Menglou Town, in order to divide Henan and Hubei into two provinces.

Compared with Menglou Town in Henan, Menglou Town in Hubei is more popular, and the local tourism resources are more abundant. Of course, this is also inseparable from the local people's vigorous publicity of Menglou Town. With the gradual increase in the popularity of Menglou Town, its own industry has also begun to "transform" and become a veritable tourist attraction.

It is understood that in order to make "Menglou Town" a real cultural ancient town, the relevant local departments have carried out large-scale repairs to the ancient town, many ancient ruins have been renovated, and the historical heritage of Menglou Town itself has also been displayed to the outside world. This deeply attracts Chinese and foreign tourists.

There is a cemetery called "Changle Mausoleum" in Menglou Town. According to historical records, it was left by the children of the famous Changle Li family. The Li clan, as one of the most respected clans in the region, has been an official from generation to generation. Their ancestors had already obtained the favor of the court during the Tang Dynasty. By the Northern Song Dynasty, the entire Li clan had a total population of about 300 people. Respect, the relationship is very harmonious. Even though the family is so large, the family members are amiable and respectable and have not separated.
